About The Fashion School

Hi, I’m Rhonda Elliott and I run The Fashion School in Canberra.

I have been sewing since I was very young and pattern making for 30 years. I’m inspired by high-end fashion designers, couture clothing and a desire to have perfectly fitting clothes made from beautiful fabrics.

I have studied many different methods of pattern making over the years both in Australia and overseas, including for four years at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology (part of the State University of New York).

I’ve also studied French pattern making as well as three different methods of Italian pattern making in my never-ending quest to find the method which would best help me to achieve the desired result in the shortest possible time.
